František Tkadlík - Chronos
Extraordinarily constricted drawing of Chronos, the God of Time from 1815, which is proof of the results of the time Tkadlík spent at the Prague Academy and contains the aspects that will remain characteristic of his work. It demonstrates his ability to combine the results from nude anatomy studies with the stylisation of the human body accompanied by expressive gestures to create a symbolic image, and to enhance the visual effectiveness of the image through the intentional manipulation of light and symbolically conceived perspective.
