Vojtěch Bartoněk - Fiddlers
After the mid-1890s, Bartoněk created interior views of burgher and peasant households, portraying their inhabitants in sentimental and humorous moments. Depictions of singular figures in cities and villages, in this case two vagrant musicians at rest, were also reflected in literature - for example in the tales by Jan Neruda, Ignát Hermann, and Alois Vojtěch Šmilovský.
