Bust of the Man of Sorrows - fragment

A fragment of the Man of Sorrows figure, for which until recently no parallels existed among the late Gothic Moravian artworks, is being connected with the artist of several figural gravestones in Olomouc and the surroundings. The vision of this Master, who singed his works with the initials PH, reminds us of the Renaissance style. According to the tradition he ranked among the followers of the sculptor Hans Backoffen (+ 1519) from the region of Central Rhineland.
