František Kyncl - Object
The work by František Kyncl after his emigration from Czechoslovakia in 1968 is characterized by the use of basic geometric forms and a simple rational construction method. He employed them to express the law of natural structures and constructions. His transparent geometric structures are built by repeating a basic unit, a tetrahedron made of bamboo sticks. The gradually growing regular or irregular spatial objects sometimes look like enclosed bodies or jagged forms evoking organic growth.
