Ben Vautier - Magic Box
In the 1960s and 1970s, Ben Vautier was regularly involved in the festivals, exhibitions and publications of the international Fluxus movement. He was always fascinated by suitcases at flea markets and re-made them into provocative, playful and inspiring artefacts. He filled them with a multitude of small found objects with added inscriptions, creating a kind of ready-to-use museum. His interactive Magic Box contains all the instruments necessary for a Fluxus concert, which can be given by anyone with simple instructions; music conceived as entertainment based on natural sounds can also be easily played by anyone.
