16th-century German Engraver, Francesco Rosselli - inventor - Florence
Michelangelo is linked with Florence through a number of outstanding works which he made for the Medici family, the Republic of Florence and a private clientele. His monumental statue of David became an iconic symbol of Florence and is viewed as such to this day.
