Domenico Montegu - Palazzo Farnese in Rome
The scope of Michelangelo’s architectural work was truly extensive. One of his projects was to complete the Palazzo Farnese after the death of the architect Antonio da Sangallo the Younger in 1546. Michelangelo altered and finished the main façade and the inner courtyard of the palace. He also drew designs for a grander access to the gardens, but this was never executed.
