Michele Marieschi - engraver - The Palazzo Pesaro
Michele Marieschi (1710 - 1743), one of the most distinguished vedutisti of the 18th century, probably trained with Gaspar Danziani. He spent some time at the court of the Electors of Saxony in Dresden. In 1735 he returned to Venice, where, inspired by Marco Ricci, Luca Carlevarijs and above all Canaletto, he began creating his first vedute.
