Anonymous artist - Four-legged vessel with a landscape on its body and the figure of Kannon (Guanyin) on the lid
The four-legged shape with handles is based on ancient Chinese bronze ritual vessels. The painted landscape, too, is executed in the so-called blue and green landscape Chinese style, which was practised by the literati. The figure of the goddess of mercy Kannon (Guanyin) on the lid suggests that the vessel was a votive object and not for daily use.
