Incense burner decorated with figures of Immortals and banana trees

The incense burner is signed as a product of the workshops in Kutani in mid-western Honshū. Its lid is decorated with the “Chinese lion” karashishi. Its walls are adorned with figures of the Immortals, a white elephant and a mythological fish shachi. The sides bear a banana tree motif.
