Scenery with a Wooden Bridge

In this picture Kosárek freely developed some of his earlier variants of the Countryside in Central Bohemia. He replaced the stone bridge with a wooden one, which connects two roads crossing the open country. Despite the simple means and sober colours Kosárek depicts unmistakably the different types of vegatation and renders the atmosphere of a late summer afternoon. From the characteristic traits of a given region, his genuine inspiration, Kosárek created a new composed landscape.
