Hippolyt Soběslav Pinkas - Still-Life
In the sixties Pinkas further developed his art. In his painting appeared a new attitude to colour and light, along the lines of the new art emerging in France. Inside this farm building, possibly a wash-house, (Pinkas painted the same motif once more in 1868) the painter depicted a still-life of diverse household objects. The focus of the picture are reflexes of light and modelling of forms with light and colour.
