Albrecht Count Kaunitz

Albrecht count Kaunitz (1829-1897), from the Czech branch of a distinguished aristocratic family, was president of the Society of Patriotic Friends of the Arts in the years 1871-1888. In addition, he was an honorary knight of St John (Johannite) and hereditary member of the Lords' Chamber of the Austrian Parliament. The socle of Myslbek's bust of count Kaunitz is decorated with a laurel branch and two labels - on one is the Kaunitz coat of arms, on the other the emblem of the artists' association Krasoumná jednota.
