Roman copy of a culpture by the Greek sculptor Agorakritos (dating from 1st - 2nd century A.D.) - Goddess Nemesis
The original of the famous sculpture of goddess Nemesis was situated in Rhamnous, Attica. The Prague copy differs from the other surviving versions (and apparently, from the original) in its size and several details. It is smaller and the peplos is open on the left shoulder, revealing the body down to the breasts, in which it resembles some Venuses. In her left hand, the goddess may have held the cornucopia.
