Kohl painted several versions of the coronation and ceremonial hall with Rieth's intricate lierne vault, daylight streaming through the windows. In 1820 Kohl presented one of these paintings to emperor Franz I during his visit of Prague.The emperor rewarded him with a diamond ring.
