Lift shaft in Trade Fair Palace in Prague

After the completion of the Fair Trade Palace, the Society of Prague Sample Fairs requested several photographers to take pictures of the building. Although it appears to have been a promotion activity, it was not specified which part they were to photograph; the choice was left to them. Josef Sudek produced an austere photo of the view of an elevator shaft which gives a very accurate testimony about the very plain functionalist architecture and simplicity of the overall solution which is further underlined by the stark letter A repeating on the shaft doors.
