Portrait of Count Franz Anton Berka of Dubá

The portrait of an ambitious aristocrat, later diplomat and collector F. A. Berka of Dubá was painted during his knightly trip to Rome around 1670. The sought-after portraitist Carlo Maratta conceived it in counter position of the balanced, pointed parts of the face of confident expression, and a proud gesture of his left hand.
