Study of hands

Platzer’s drawing studies represent the fruit of his artistic training at the Academy in Vienna, which included studying after live models. However, the exhibited studies of hands were executed after various graphic models or a pattern book instead of reality, as is suggested by the certainty in sketching lines and the absence of underdrawing.
