The animated drawing is a design for a relief of unknown purpose, and a pendant to a sheet of identical dimensions bearing the subject of Pluto Kidnapping Proserpina. Both designs have often been related by scholars to the sculptural decoration of Kinský Palace in Prague (in which Platzer’s workshop predominantly participated); its two tympanums, however, display different reliefs.
