The Entry of Heraclitus into Jerusalem

The Master of the Straus Madonna

The Master of the Straus Madonna - The Entry of Heraclitus into Jerusalem
Both the paintings formed part of the altar predella, representing the subject from the legend of the True Cross. They were painted by an unknown artist, who may have worked in Agnolo Gaddi’s studio. The predella, now shared by the National Gallery in Prague and the Martello Collection, also included the scenes of the Discovery of the True Cross and the Beheading of King Cosroe.
