Trocadero in Paris

Paris, this inexhaustible source of artists’ inspiration, which had some fifteen years earlier captivated Viktor Barvitius, was a great challenge for Chittussi. The picture of the busy evening city, illuminated by gaslight and the red glow of sunset, in which we only recognize the dark contours of the Trocadero, provides a new view of the modern French capital.
