Party at a Table, study

The small study Party at the Table stands out among Bartoněk’s production; perhaps it can be related to the artist’s stay in Paris at the turn of 1889 and 1890 of which nothing remained except the collection of school studies. The format and the sketch-like character correspond to the studies that the artist made during his walks and that later inspired the final paintings.
