Venetian painter (active in the mid-15th century) - Triptych with the Virgin Enthroned Between St. Anthony the Great, St. John the Precursor, St. Jerome, and St. Bernardino of Siena
The small-size triptych in the late Palaiologo style represents St. Bernardino of Siena, cannonised in 1450, among the saints revered in the Eastern Church. The triptych dating soon after this date is an outstanding example of the period symbiosis of the traditional Byzantine and Italian painting in the Venetian territory.
