Anonymous - Noble horse
During the Tang dynasty, noble horses were a common part of the funerary equipment as they played a key role in the aristocratic and military activities of the day. The most luxurious specimens of such sculptures were decorated with the so called three-colour glaze, which was skilfully used to highlight the nobility and elegance of the beast, including its perfect features and graceful movements.
