Bowl with floral motifs

The bowl’s central medallion bears a painted circle made of three ginkgo leaves. The rim bears dense scrollwork of karakusa grass with tendrils. The rim has a brass European mounting with a beading motif. The bottom is shaped in a wide biscuit circle with an inner central medallion. The bowl is signed on the bottom with the square stylized character fuku (in the guruguru style). This bowl shape was apparently popular in the Hizen Principality, which is why we can find them in many ceramic workshops, such as in Ureshino and Hasami.
