Anonymous artist - Gourd-shaped bottle with prunus blossom design
The entire body of this bottle from Arita bears a painted fisherman’s net with prunus blossoms in its meshes. The meshes decrease in size from bottom to top, and the blossoms are only outlined by dots in its upper part. The simpler shape and spare decoration suggest the bottle dates from the late 18th or early 19th century.
