This idyll in the woods with a group of resting hunters is reminiscent of similar motifs in Josef Navrátil's paintings. Kosárak painted it in the same year as his three variants of the woods with a hermit - in the spirit of European Romanticism he expressed his personal as also the general longing after the harmony of Man and nature.
