This picture, sometimes called At the Coffee-House, is a typical example of Návrátil's genres - the realistic vision and spontaneous rendering are,actually, the very opposite of the traditional, always artificially arranged genre painting. With his light brushwork and unrestrained handling of light Navrátil created his figures with dabs of colour - the viewer's impression is primarily influenced by the colour scheme of the entire scene.
