Chapel in the Woods

This fairly large painting with a motif from the Giant Mountains, Chapel in the woods, which remained unfinished is ample evidence that Kosárek worked until the very end. The brushwork of the picture is unrestrained, the touches of colour are arranged according to values, light and air are brilliantly expressed. The painting is labelled by Viktor Barvitius, who organized Kosárek’s estate and drew his portrait.
