Martha Leading Mary Magdalene to Christ

After Raphael’s death, Raimondi more often cooperated with other artists, mainly with Raphael’s pupil Giulio Romano. The exhibited scene departs from a fresco created by Romano and Gianfrancesco Penni in the Roman church Santa Trinita dei Monti, on the top of the Spanish steps. The surviving preparatory drawings are held in England and Munich.
